What is our maximum bending radius?
Eight (8”) inches (depending on the shape).
Are the Norfab doors NSF listed?
No, but all materials used are NSF listed or NSF approvable.
Does Norfab carry stock door sizes?
No, but we do have stock door extrusions. All door sizes are customer-specific.
Does Norfab extrude aluminum in house?
Our material is extruded at our sister company Crown Extrusions.
Does Norfab Anodize in house?
Our material is anodized at our sister company Aacron Anodizing.
Does Norfab have a hardware line that includes handles and hinges?
No. When possible we will incorporate a handle in the extrusion. We can provide mounting holes for hinge and handle placement or provide backer plates inside the doorframe. If required Norfab can source hardware per customer specifications.
Do we make special size Vu-Ports?
Yes, per customer specifications.
Is the Norfab Vu-Port UL listed?
Yes, Vu-Port is UL listed.
How do I determine my viewing area or rough opening?
What is the maximum temperature our standard Vu-Port can be exposed to?
140 Degrees F continuous use.
What is the maximum temperature the high temperature Vu-Port can be exposed to?
260 Degrees F continuous use.
Does the Norfab Vu-Port have a 3 pane insulated unit?
Yes; it is 1” overall with 3 lites of 1/8” clear tempered glass.
How are the Vu-Port heated glass and frames heated?
By two separate heating circuits. The frame has a heater wire connected to it and the glass is a sealed heated insulated glass unit.
